Advertisement for Tender The Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahdo Church Development and Inter Church Aid Commission (EOC-DICAC) is a registered Ethiopian Residence Charity organization, established in 1972 as the development wing of the Church. Since its establishment, EOC-DICAC is executing different types of development and humanitarian programs in different regions of the country.   One of such projects under implementation is multi sectorial emergency Project in Amhara region, North Shewa zone Debrebirihan zuria and sustainable church forest project in Basona werana wereda.  Accordingly, EOC-DICAC intends to construct a semi-permanent toilet and water points schemes for IDP community in Debrebirehan and a water supply schemes in Basona werana wereda for Wayu kebele communities in 6 separate lots. Therefore, EOC-DICAC invites registered contractors of category BC/GC six and above for toilet constructions and WWC six and above for water supply constructions that full fill all the requirements listed below Bidders to engage in this tender should have renewed license for the current year, certificate of competence from the concerned Ministry office, VAT, TIN, and a valid/current tax Clearance from the concerned body to participate in tender, relevant past experience with supporting testimonies, adequate technical personnel with renewed professional license, construction equipment, can submit financial capacity statement/unconditional credit facility  from a recognized bank, audited financial statement, good relationship with previous clients etc. Interested applicants shall collect documents from EOC- DICAC North Shewa coordination office, located at Debirebirehan town, , Atse Zere’a Yakob building and EOC-DICAC head office located at Arat kilo in front of Turist hotel from the first date of this advertisement for ten consecutive days with a nonrefundable fee of birr 500(Five hundred) for each lot. Project Overview Evidence-based decision-making is a cornerstone of a robust health system. To establish a more representative data system for estimating vital rates and causes of death, the Ethiopian Public Health Institute (EPHI), Ministry of Health (MOH), and 16 active Health and Demographic Surveillance System (HDSS) sites affiliated with local academic institutions and Vital Strategies launched the ImpactHDSS Ethiopia Project in March 2025. These HDSS sites have been instrumental in generating longitudinal health and demographic data in resource-limited settings, contributing to evidence-based policy making and program implementation. However, variations in HDSS operations, limited coordination among stakeholders, and weak data-to-policy linkages have hindered the full potential of HDSS data to inform national policy and practice. Based on the baseline assessment conducted in July 2025, IT material gaps have also been identified, and these gaps have limited the capacity of HDSS sites to collect, manage, and utilize data effectively.
