The RUFIP-III aims to improve rural livelihoods and reduce vulnerability by increasing access to financial products and services through sustainable rural financial institutions (RFIs), including microfinance institutions, rural savings and credit cooperatives (RUSACCOs), and their unions. The project targets increased inclusion of rural households, with particular focus on women and youth, and strengthening institutional capacity across the sector. Procurement activities under RUFIP‑III will include Goods and Equipment needed for project implementation and support functions apart from Consultancy and Technical Assistance Services for capacity building, analysis, and programme support and Training Services to enhance institutional skills and operational performance of microfinance and RUSACCO entities. The project duration is for about 6 years with a possibility of extension for three more years.
